Pant-grunts and pant-barks

Pant-grunts and pant-barks are submissive calls, given when approaching or being approached by higher-ranking individuals ; .
Pant-grunts often grade into pant-barks
and pant-screams .
I've included a grunt by Outamba's infant daughter, Tenkere .
Babies riding on their mother's belly often join the pant-grunts their mother makes when approaching high-ranking chimpanzees.
