Become a Female Chimpanzee

Nesting

Every night each chimpanzee makes a new nest and sleeps in it for about 12 hours. Nests are almost always in trees, but are occasionally made on the ground. Young chimps start to make nests at a young age, but do not usually sleep separately from their mother until she has a new infant.

You and your child bend down branches and pile leaves to make a soft nest and then lie down to go to sleep. Now that you have experienced a day as a female chimpanzee, why don't you try becoming an adult male or a young child.

Chimpanzee Fifi makes a nest with Flirt. If you choose, you can download the QuickTime 5 player at www.apple.com/quicktime to view this movie.
