Try clicking on the picture above. Does a movie eventually start playing? If it does not go back to the help page and make sure you have downloaded latest QuickTime player

Now make sure you have the player set up for the right connection speed. Click on the down-pointing arrow at the bottom right of the movie screen. Select Connection Speed from the pull-down menu. A window will pop-up that will allow you to change your connection speed. If you are not sure of your connection speed try using some of these hints below.

  • If you hear a dialing sound before connecting to the internet or if you have to tell your computer to connect to the internet then your connection speed is probably a 56kbps modem (use this setting).
  • If you are at home/work and are always connected to the internet but don't have cable you probably have a DSL connection, use the 256kbps DSL/Cable setting
  • If you are at home/work and are always connected to the internet but have cable you should use the 512 Kbps DSL/Cable setting
  • If you are home/work/school and have a very fast connection for your whole institution you probably have a T1 connection and should use the 1.5Mbps T1/Intranet/Lan setting
