Shadrack Kamenya

Shadrack Kamenya Shadrack Kamenya grew up near Gombe National Park, and got his B.S. degree at the University of Dar es Salaam. He did a Masters and Ph.D. in Anthropology and Conservation Biology at the University of Colorado, studying red colobus monkeys in Gombe National Park and the impact of human activities on their conservation.

He currently lives at Gombe and is employed by the Jane Goodall Institute. Formerly the Director of Chimpanzee Research, he now is very involved with conservation issues around the Park as Director of Conservation.
