This website is the product of the work and collaboration of
many people and organizations. Jane Goodall and the Jane Goodall
Institute entrusted the care of the Gombe data to the JGICPS.
The information on chimpanzees in the site was extracted by
Anne Pusey and students and staff at the Center from the longterm
data, publications by Jane Goodall and other Gombe researchers,
and their own observations.
Much of the behavior glossary was compiled at Gombe in the 1970s
from Jane's original glossary, and was written and illustrated
by David Bygott. The Imaging Center at the University of Minnesota
scanned slides provided by Jane Goodall and others.
Bill Wallauer is responsible for most of the video footage,
and other contributors are listed at the bottom of each page.
The website was constructed by a professional team at the Science
Museum of Minnesota under the direction of Joshua Seaver, with
major support from the National Science Foundation and Bank
of America. The website is updated and maintained by Kenny Ling of the University of Minnesota.
